Fans have been amused by Prince William’s comments while visiting a sporting event with Princess Kate in 2015.
This comes after footage from the couple’s interactions with a British sports star, which had previously been deleted, was rediscovered on TikTok.
During the month of April, the Prince and Princess of Wales celebrated their thirteenth wedding anniversary.
They had first met during their time in college and received their engagement in the year 2010.
Princess Charlotte, who is nine years old, Prince George, who is ten years old, and Prince Louis, who is six years old are the three children that the couple has collectively.
Following Kate’s decision to withdraw from public view in the midst of struggling with her health, the family has been the subject of a greater amount of public scrutiny since the beginning of the year. Following an operation that took place in January, she made the announcement in March that she had been diagnosed with cancer and that she was currently undergoing “preventative chemotherapy.”
There was a span of two months between her surgery and the declaration, during which time rumors began to swirl concerning her health, whereabouts, and marriage. In the lack of regular fresh appearances, supporters have gone to social media to share highlights and favorite moments from the royals’ past activities. This has diminished, but followers have nevertheless taken to social media to give information.
One of these posts, which was published to TikTok by the user @helensmccrory, highlighted the moment when Prince William and Kate Middleton traveled to Portsmouth, a naval city located in southern England, in 2015 in order to meet sailors who were competing in the British leg of the America’s Cup World Series sailing contest.
A significant number of viewers have expressed their admiration for what appears to be the prince’s protectiveness toward his wife, as seen by the video’s more than 209,000 views and 19,000 likes.
The royal couple had the opportunity to spend time with Sir Ben Ainslie, a four-time Olympic sailing gold medalist. During their visit, Sir Ben Ainslie shared with the couple several aspects of the race as well as the efforts that the British team had made.
As the caption for the video read, “He’s so silly,” the poster wrote.
The Olympian was praised by other users, with one person adding, “That’s Sir Ben Ainslie and he’s potentially one of the most handsome men to walk Britain.” Other users expressed their enthusiasm for Olympic athletes.
Ainslie has been a guest at official occasions attended by Kate and William over the course of their relationship. The princess took part in a friendly Commonwealth race with his crew in 2022, while they were in Portsmouth. The race was held during their stay.
It was in 2019 that the royal family, who have shown an interest in sailing, initiated the King’s Cup, which is a competition that takes place off the shore of the Isle of Wight, which is located in southern England.
The competition was held in order to raise funds for the many patronages of the royal families, and each royal was a member of a competing crew. The prince’s squad finished ahead of the princess’s team because the princess’s team was disqualified due to a false start. This is despite the fact that neither William nor Kate were able to win the race, which was ultimately won by the crew led by the television personality Bear Grylls.
Buckingham Palace stated at the time that the pair “hoped” that the race would become an annual event on their calendar. It is likely that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the plans to be derailed, as there have been no additional occurrences that have taken place.
