During the recent NBA All-Star weekend, Curry, now in his 15th season with the Warriors at 35 years old, shared his thoughts on retirement. Despite contemplations about the eventual end of his career, Curry indicated that he doesn’t believe he’s “anywhere close” to calling it quits.

“I think about [retirement] all the time,” Curry stated after the NBA All-Star Game. “But the thoughts stop because you gotta get ready for the next game and there’s a routine and a cycle that goes where you embrace the now.

Eventually, you’ll get to a point where you’ll wake up and whatever your body is telling you and whatever your mind is telling you, ‘It’s time,’ but I don’t think I’m anywhere close to that.”

Having earned his 10th career All-Star Game selection, Curry acknowledged the significance of the milestone, particularly when compared to peers like LeBron James and Kevin Durant. While James and Durant boast 20 and 14 All-Star nominations respectively, Curry expressed gratitude for his own tally, recognizing it as a noteworthy achievement.

On the court, Curry’s performance continues to shine, with impressive averages of 28 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, along with a stellar 42.1% shooting from three-point range. Despite the Warriors’ evolving roster dynamics and their transition towards embracing youth, Curry remains a consistent force driving the team forward.
