If anyone could take Dior’s classic skirt-suit silhouette and spin it into something totally new, it would be Rihanna.
And the Grammy winner and Fenty mogul did just that this morning for the French fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2024 haute couture runway show, arriving in a modern interpretation of the brand’s signature skirt suit (which actually hails from the Fall/Winter 2023 collection).
Rather than the typical wool or cotton twill, the set appeared to be made out of a utilitarian nylon. An oily moiré print unified both the clingy midi skirt and the puffy wrap jacket, which was cinched at the waist by a narrow black leather belt. Rihanna continued the black theme with other elements of the outfit, including a floppy newsboy cap, scrunched leather gloves, and a quilted Lady Dior bag. For some contrast, she capped off the look with white satin pumps, and accessorized with an eye-watering diamond drop necklace, diamond earrings, and bedazzled anklets.

Rihanna showed off her affinity for Dior last month as well, wearing a statement-making accessory while out and about in Los Angeles.
The singer was spotted in a neck-lengthening, multi-strand choker made of dozens of champagne-colored pearls. She paired the Dior necklace—from John Galliano’s Fall 2007 couture show—with a fluttery black Khaite tank top, a long black wool coat with a fur-trimmed asymmetrical peplum hemline from Junya Watanabe, baggy jeans from Agolde, and black sneakers from her Fenty x Puma collaboration.
