Hidden beneath her fierce pop persona, there’s a mother in the making with Rihanna.

The 27-year-old proved that her maternal instinct was strong on Sunday afternoon when she made a beeline for Jennifer Lopez’s adorable daughter Emme and devoted her attention to the pretty seven-year-old.

Rihanna, who gushed over Beyonce and Jay Z’s three-year-old daughter Blue Ivy at the Grammys last month, charmed as she crouched down beside the youngster at the Home film premiere making her smile widely, much to the delight of Emme’s mother JLo, 45.

Rihanna, who made a demure outfit choice in a pink satin floor-skimmer, took the time to greet adorable Emme, the daughter of Jennifer and ex-partner Marc Anthony.

Emme, who has twin brother Max, looked equally thrilled at some special attention from the Umbrella singer, having dressed up in her prettiest white dress and ballet slippers.

For Rihanna, the emphasis was on classic beauty and she even appeared to resemble Audrey Hepburn with a high chignon in her hair and a heavy fringe.

The pop singer had the air of Fairy Godmother in a fairytale pink gown, making little Blue Ivy’s dreams come true when she devoted her attention to the tiny tot.

On Sunday, Rihanna was of course hanging out with My Love Don’t Cost A Thing singer Jennifer but couldn’t resist cooing over the youngest attendees of the Home premiere.

Showing her playful side at the photocall, Rihanna scooped up one child with a smile and posed with some of the little ones all decked out in FabKids clothing for the event.

The Barbadian beauty voices the character Gratuity ‘Tip’ Tucci for the new Dreamworks animated children’s film.

Lopez meanwhile, lends her star power to the character of Lucy, Tip’s mother, and sings one of the movie’s songs, Feel The Light.

Complimenting the actress on her mothering skills in an interview with E! News this week, Rihanna said: ‘When you hear Jennifer, her voice has that warmth and safeness that my mother’s has. It has that tone. It’s almost like it can hug you.
