Diddy And 50 Cent’s Years-long Feud: Inside The Ugly War Of Words Between The Two Rappers As 50 Cent Sells Documentary To Netflix On Against Diddy

Diddy and 50 Cent have been nemeses for years, but their feud has only heated up in recent months after homeland security agents raided Diddy’s mansions in Miami and Los Angeles.

The coordinated action was reported to be part of a 𝑠e𝑥 trafficking investigation involving the 54-year-old rapper-turned-record mogul.

Since then, 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson III) has ramped up his social media posts blasting Diddy (born Sean Combs) and those in his orbit who have been swept up in the ongoing investigation.

This week, the schism between the two grew even wider with reports that the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ rapper has sold a documentary on the multiple 𝑠e𝑥ual assault allegations haunting Diddy to Netflix amid a ‘massive bidding war.’

Following the latest development, DailyMail.com takes another look inside the toxic feud animating the two rappers.

2006

The lengthy quarrel between the two rappers began in 2006, when 50 Cent released his single The Bomb, which appeared to suggest that Diddy had inside knowledge about the 1997 murder of Notorious B.I.G.

A refrain from the song states: ‘Who shot Biggie Smalls? We don’t get ’em / They gonna kill us all. Man, Puffy know who hit that n****.’

This apparent accusation came despite 50 Cent never having had proof of Diddy’s involvement in the murder of Biggie Smalls, with the case remaining officially unsolved to this day.

Diddy meanwhile, has frequently denied that he had any information about the killer.

2014

The pair continued to trade blows and insults on social media as well as in their own songs for years, before their feud escalated in 2014 when they were chosen by competing vodka brands to act as brand ambassadors.

Diddy has co-owned well-known brand Ciroc since 2007, seven years before 50 Cent represented Dutch brand Effen Vodka.

‘Puff’s is not even vodka. It’s grapes [and] says ‘made with vodka,’ you know what I’m saying?’ 50 Cent remarked when appearing on the Drink Champs podcast in 2018.

‘[Effen] is made from wheat from Holland and distilled five times so it’s a lot less sugar, it’s the right way.

‘And then later when you have a headache because you finished your full bottle of Ciroc.… I told you I was smarter.’

50 Cent went on to sell his stake in Effen Vodka for a reported sum of $60million in 2017.

Announcing the news on Instagram at the time, he wrote: ‘I got the bag, EFFEN Vodka can you say 60M’s since they like counting my money DO THE MATH. Lol’.

After Diddy was arrested for allegedly assaulting UCLA assistant coach Sal Alosi in 2015, 50 Cent filmed a mocking video in which he frantically counted out money to use for bail. Diddy was never charged; seen together in 2004

2015

After Diddy was arrested for fighting with UCLA assistant coach Sal Alosi, 50 Cent shared a mocking video on Instagram in which he acted out a frantic phone call in which he joked about the alleged assault before counting out $100 bills to use for bail money.

Diddy was never charged for the alleged assault.

2018

In 2018, 50 Cent further strained relations between the two rappers after making claims that Diddy is ‘fruity’.

Appearing on an episode of The Breakfast Club podcast, he said: ‘When he says things, he doesn’t even know what he’s saying is, like, fruity.

‘What is you talking about? When people say that to me I get a little uncomfortable.’

50 Cent continued: ‘He said something to me a long time ago, at Chris Lighty’s wedding. He told me he’d take me shopping. I looked at him like,

‘What’d you just say? Let me move, man, before I do something. You gon’ make me mess up the wedding.’ No. That’s something a guy says to a girl.’

Surprisingly, Diddy responded by appearing to quash rumours of any unrest between the pair, saying that 50 Cent ‘loves’ him.

‘I don’t have no beef with Fif. He loves me,’ Diddy said during an appearance on The Breakfast Club.

‘Y’all can’t see that he loves me? You really think that’s hate? You know he loves me.’

2022

In September 2022, 50 Cent was outraged by his former partner Daphne Joy’s decision to attend Diddy’s iHeartRadio Music Festival set, which she shared footage of via her social media channels.

However, Joy was unhappy with 50 Cent’s actions and chose to respond with a comment of her own on Instagram, posting: ‘Please stop doing this to me.

‘I never bother you and I’m an outstanding mother to our son. Can we please just focus on that. Please’. The comment has since been deleted from the platform.

2023

Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023, claiming that she had been 𝑠e𝑥ually assaulted and suffered physical abuse for a decade.

He denied the allegations before they reached a settlement a day after they were filed by Cassie.

Diddy denied other claims after more individuals stepped forward with similar allegations, before he chose to step down as chairman of his company Revolt.

50 Cent, meanwhile, added further fuel to the fiery row between the pair, as he expressed his desire to take over the company himself.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, he wrote: ‘I’ll buy that from you play boy, for the low because you know Cadillac and AT&T gonna pull out’.

‘I’ll give you a few dollars for it now! Sell it to me, then we can be friends. I’m serious call my phone.’

50 Cent led the initial charge of stars reacting to the news of Diddy’s homes being raided by federal agents, sharing a snap of the raid taking place

The rapper shared an article on Instagram about Diddy’s houses in Los Angeles and Miami being surrounded by Homeland Security agents and said that ‘they don’t come like that unless they got a case’

‘S**t just got real. The Fed’s in all the cribs, damn they got the kids in cuffs,’ the rapper wrote in another post

Two properties belonging to Diddy in Los Angeles and Miami were searched on Monday, March 25 by federal Homeland Security Investigations agents and other law enforcement as part of 𝑠e𝑥 trafficking investigations.

The rapper, who is facing mounting 𝑠e𝑥ual harassment and rape lawsuits, was nowhere to be seen as agents combed through his properties, removing boxes and bags of evidence.

50 Cent led the initial charge of Hollywood stars reacting to the raids. He was quick to repost footage of the investigation, writing: ‘S*** just got real. The Fed’s in all the cribs, d*** they got the kids in cuffs.’

He subsequently turned his attention toward his ex-girlfriend Daphne Joy, who was alleged to be a ‘𝑠e𝑥 worker’ in a lawsuit filed by producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones Jr. against Diddy.

Joy has adamantly denied the accusation, calling it ‘character assassination.’

On, March 28, just days after 50 Cent publicly mocked Diddy over his alleged involvement in the 𝑠e𝑥 trafficking scandal, Joy accused him of rape, physical abuse and of being an absent father to their son Sire.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent joked about a seemingly fake docuseries about the allegations dogging Diddy titled Diddy Do It?, though it has since been revealed that he has a real documentary in the works.

This week, sources told TMZ that a documentary from 50 about the allegations had been sold to Netflix after a ‘massive bidding war’ that reportedly featured multiple major streaming services.

The news came shortly after a video resurfaced showing Diddy physically assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie in 2016.

50 Cent was quick to reshare the clip, writing: ‘Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing!

‘This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all,’ he added.

Diddy subsequently issued an apology video on Instagram.

After Diddy shared an apology video related to a resurfaced 2016 clip of him beating his then-girlfriend Cassie, 50 Cent wrote on Instagram: ‘This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move’

‘It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,’ he said. ‘I was f***ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom.

‘But I make no excuses. My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it, I’m disgusted now,’ he continued.

50 Cent continued his string of mocking posts, writing on Instagram: ‘This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move.’

Earlier this month, the feud between Diddy and 50 Cent expanded to include the mogul’s son Christian ‘King’ Combs, who released a diss track aimed at 50 Cent, though the veteran rapper returned to mock Christian for bringing up the raids on his father’s mansions again.
