DeAndre, who would have turned 33 in July, was one of Jones’ 3 sons with his wife Natlyn.
He had a twin brother, DeShaun, and an older brother, Roy III.
As a teenager, DeAndre formed a rap trio called ‘3D’ with DeShaun and their cousin Dyllon Burnside.
In a statement released through Instagram, Roy Jones Jr. wrote:
Unfortunately, my son DeAndre took his life on Saturday.
I’m so grateful that God allowed me to come home Friday night to spend the last night of his life with me and the family.
I know a lot of people are going via tough times currently, but nothing is worth taking your own life.
God gives it and God should be the one to take it away.
Please respect our privacy while my family and I process this loss.
