The moment Rihanna withdrew her “iconic” twerk at the son of the richest man in India was caught on camera by her fans.
She received £5 million ($6.33 million in the US) for the performance, according to Mailonline.
The 36-year-old singer wowed everyone with a video she uploaded to Janhvi Kapoor’s Instagram page.
Rihanna was clearly having fun as she swayed her hips back and forth, but then she realized where she was and gave off an odd look.
A fan highlighted the hilarious moment on X by saying, “Rihanna wanted to go fully wild on the twerk but then realised it would be too much for India.”
However, several people were transfixed by the “iconic” moment; one person commented, “What a moment!!!” in the space provided for comments.
“Baddie started twerking on this banger,” said another, and “This looks so iconic,” commented a third.
The Fenty mogul performed in secret at the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Anant’s father, Mukesh Ambani, has a net worth of $114 billion.
This occurs just after fans of Rihanna claimed that she gave the wedding gig her “bare minimum” effort.
Video of the 36-year-old hitmaker performing on stage at the three-day celebration went viral on X, then known as Twitter, in response to reports that she didn’t exactly bring her A-game.
She co-wrote the 2011 hit song “We Found Love,” which she was shown singing and hardly dancing to in a video.
A Twitter user remarked, “Rihanna really said she’s doing the bare minimum, collecting her check and go.”
“I’m here tonight in honor of Anant and Radhika, thanks to that Ambani family,” she said during the show. I’m appreciative to be here. God bless both you and your companion. You have my best wishes. Many thanks for the congratulations!
Reports that appeared earlier this week said that she was paid £5 million to perform at the son of the richest man in India’s pre-wedding function.
Billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani is hosting the three-day event this weekend, and big-name pop stars, politicians, and global IT CEOs are expected to come by plane.
