Charlotte’s concert-ready braids were likely thanks to mom Kate’s braiding skills.
Like many Taylor Swift fans, Princess Charlotte embraced the spirit of the Eras Tour!
The 9-year-old princess sparkled in a rose gold “Kids’ Sequin Party Dress” from John Lewis for the June 21 concert in London.
Her trendy boho braids, a style she often wears courtesy of her mom Kate Middleton, completed her festive look.
Kate, 42, has playfully admitted her styling attempts aren’t always perfect. During a day of outings in Cumbria in 2019, she shared her braiding struggles while complimenting a young girl’s “pretty” hairstyle.
“I tried to do a plait [braid] with Charlotte this morning, and it didn’t really work very well,” she admitted.
Kate and Charlotte are known to match their hairstyles, including for their memorable outing on Christmas Day last year when they both sported braided looks for the royal family’s annual church walk. Charlotte’s signature style featured two braids tied with a bow, while Kate opted for a half-up look with a peeking braid under her fascinator.
Prince William has also shared his experiences with hairstyling, joking about the challenges of doing Charlotte’s hair with fellow dads in 2019.
“Never try to do a ponytail!” William told one father who talked about watching YouTube videos to help. “Nightmare.”
Kate asked him, “Have you tried to do a plait? It’s the weaving…really hard.”
William added, “I can do [Charlotte’s] ponytail, but that’s about it as I don’t have enough hair to practice on!”
Charlotte and her older brother Prince George, 10, posed for a selfie with their dad William and Swift backstage at the pop star’s show, which was later shared on her parents’ official social media accounts. “Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour,” the post’s caption read.
The royal trio also snapped a selfie with Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
