Former BBC Royal correspondent Jenny Bond provided a hopeful health update on the Princess of Wales following Prince William’s recent overnight trip to Cornwall.

Bond suggested that Katherine would be relying on her parents for support while William carries out his royal duties, especially given the shortage of working royals.

She emphasized the therapeutic benefits of being outdoors for Katherine’s recovery, noting that the current sunny weather in the UK could aid her healing process.

“I’ve no doubt that Catherine’s parents will be staying with her, but even so, it must be a step in the right direction,” Bond commented. “Hopefully, Catherine is feeling stronger every day, and with the sun now shining, she’ll be able to enjoy the great outdoors, which has always been restorative for her.”

Prince William provided an update on his wife’s health during his visit to Cornwall last week, reassuring the public that “she’s doing well.” Princess Katherine has been out of the public eye since the beginning of the year after undergoing abdominal surgery. In March, she made a video appearance to reveal her cancer diagnosis with an undisclosed form of cancer.

During his visit to Cornwall, Prince William’s itinerary included stops at Nan Leen Nuki, where the first homeless housing project will be built, and Fistral Beach to meet organizers of the project. On Friday, he is scheduled to make his first visit to the Isles of Silly, where he will visit St Mary’s Harbor and meet representatives from local businesses before paying a visit to St Mary’s Medical Center.
