Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, remarked that if he were to play basketball, he would emulate the style of Golden State Warriors’ standout, Stephen Curry.
Mahomes indicated that he already possesses a proficient shooting ability but would require additional practice to match the shooting prowess of Curry, who holds the record for the most 3-pointers in NBA history.
At 28 years old, Mahomes boasts an impressive resume, having secured two Super Bowl victories and two NFL Most Valuable Player awards.
Comparatively, when Curry was the same age, he had already earned two NBA Finals championships and two MVP titles. Since then, the renowned guard has added two more championships to his accolades with the Warriors.
Mahomes is certainly not the first person to make the comparison between himself and the Golden State sharpshooter.
Although Patrick Mahomes and Stephen Curry share certain parallels in their achievements within their respective sports, it’s important to recognize that Mahomes also participated in basketball during his high school years. These basketball skills could have potentially contributed to his performance on the football field.
